    Leidos currently has an opening for an Assistant Quality Manager to work in our Vista, CAfacility. As a member of the Leidos Security Enterprise Solutions (SES) Quality team, you will be joining a diverse and dedicated group who are excited about producing industry leading screening technology. This role provides opportunity to serve as the primary Point of Contact (POC) for all quality related issues at the Vista, CA facility. This is your opportunity to drive organizational change, support new product introductions, develop new quality-based training programs, collaborate on business-critical items, and inspire team members to excel.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • This quality role is essential to the Vista, CA core team and will report 1st shift.
    • Lead new startup quality centered training programs in areas of Statistical Process Control (SPC), Measurement System Analysis Gauge Reliability and Repeatability (GR&R), Process Capability (Cpk), and Structured Problem Solving 8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa / Fishbone diagrams.
    • Oversee all final operational test/verification (system), Factory Acceptance Testing (with/without customer) review final paperwork/packaging review prior to shipment.
    • Support new supplier audits/qualification, internal site ISO qualification / audit activities, and equipment calibration activities (as required).
    • This person will also serve as a direct supervisor for all inspectors and can fill in for inspectors (as required).
    • Reporting to Product Quality Manager.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Typically requires BS (Engineering or other STEM discipline) and 4 8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2 6 years of prior relevant experience. May consider additional years of experience in lieu of a degree.
    • Must have the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance and obtain other clearances (e.g.; secret clearance) as needed (US citizenship required).
    • Defines and specifies the implementation of standards, methods, and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision, accuracy, and reliability of company products
    • Understanding of Electro-Static Discharge (ESD) practices and IPC related standards for printed circuit boards (PCBs)
    • Familiarity of wide range of measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, plug gauges, etc.
    • Prior experience managing day to day activities of employees at multiple levels from quality inspectors to quality engineers / technicians.
    • Microsoft office suite Word, Excel, PowerPoint

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Advanced Six Sigma / Problem Solving Tools
    • ASQ certification
    • Advanced Excel skills
    • Statistical Process Control (SPC) techniques such as control charting and assessing of process capability
    • Design of Experiments / ANOVA / Gauge Reliability and Repeatability (GR&R) Studies
    • Prior Security Clearance

    Pay Range:

    Pay Range $68,900.00 - $124,550.00
