    We are looking for a dynamic and passionate Ultrasound Technician to join the Mountainside Team!


    Responsibilities

    What Youll Do

    The Ultrasound Technician will be responsible for performing standard general ultrasounds as well as all vascular exams including but not limited to: cardiovascular studies, venous studies, arterial studies, and renal studies.

    The successful candidate will be able to:

    • Administer vascular procedures by operating computerized ultrasound equipment and recording devices
    • Utilize patient chart in obtaining pertinent history as necessary
    • Demonstrate a working knowledge of normal vascular anatomy and hemodynamics, as well as the major disease processes of the Cerebral Vascular and Peripheral Vascular systems
    • Perform, assess, and critique the patients Doppler deciding what is necessary for a complete diagnostic study based on initial request and preliminary results of procedures
    • Alert the appropriate medical staff of abnormalities that require immediate attention
    • Compare present echocardiograms to previous studies to monitor changes in present status
    • Carry out assignments within a realistic time frame
    • Document the vascular exam according to departmental procedures
    • Select, cut, and mount segments of scans in order to visualize flow studies, both normal and abnormal
    • Enter, maintain, and record all pertinent patient data
    • Inform physician of any changes in patients condition or pertinent findings from examination
    • Maintain equipment in proper functioning order
    • Clean and prepare equipment of patient application
    • Sterilize equipment after each isolation patient in accordance with nursing and departmental policies
    • Perform predetermined, preventative maintenance to ensure equipment is operating efficiently
    • Perform any and all other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    What Youll Bring

    • Certificate of Completion from an accredited Ultrasound program
    • 1 year of medical imaging experience
    • Registered RVT, RVS and RDMS
    • Commitment to become registered in 6 months CPR certified
    • Availability for on call and holidays
    • Ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and work as part of a team
    • Cultural sensitivity and excellent patient care skills
    • Ability to work well in a high volume, fast paced environment
