    Dietitian Nutritionist

    Unit Description:

    Sodexo is seeking a full-time Registered Dietitian to come join their dynamic team at Broadlawns Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa. Broadlawns Medical Center has an average census of 90-110 patients and strives to build a healthy community in which there is accessible, cost-effective and high-quality patient care for all. This is a fun position that gets to be involved in a little bit of everything: inpatient and outpatient care, providing guidance to the call center staff and programming the patient menu software.

    The successful candidate will:

    • provide nutritional care to patients in inpatient and outpatient settings;
    • program the patient menu software (training is provided);
    • guidance to the call center staff on diet education;
    • Meet state/federal/Joint Commission and company standards;
    • educate healthcare team members, including physicians and nurses; and
    • participate in Process Improvement projects.

    Qualifications & Requirements:

    Basic Education Requirement: Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) (Note: For those seeking registration after 2023, this must be a masters degree)

    Credentials Requirement:

    • Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
    • Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice
