Job Description
Team Lead - 3rd Shift
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES- Guide the workflow of all production activities of the department while contributing to production requirements.
- Coordinate team support including cross-training, adherence to quality policies, & problem solving.
- Recognize & resolve manufacturing issues to minimize downtime and drive 90%+ output attainment.
- Maintain a safe working environment that ensures compliance to environmental, health, & safety requirements.
- Practice and enforce all safety procedures including use of PPE, safe machine operation, & 5S.
- Report all accidents, near misses, & hazards and assist in incident investigations.
- Ensure all team members are trained according to standard work instructions and adhered to throughout the shift.
- Perform quality inspections as required to ensure parts are free of quality defects and labeled correctly. Immediately report any quality concerns and work closely with process technicians to resolve.
- Assist in set-up & changeover of assembly lines. Communicate with warehouse team all materials requirements in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
- Assist with break/lunch coverage if needed, determine by shift supervisor.
- Ensure all SAP transactions are completed correctly & in a timely manner.
- Ability to work outside normal work hours, including Saturday, as needed to support customer requirements.
- Provide meaningful & timely feedback to all teams & levels of the organization.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
E d uc a t i o n :- High School Diploma/ GED required
W ork E xp e ri e nce :- Minimum of 1 year manufacturing experience.
- Prefer 4-6 years of experience in area of responsibility.
- Prior leadership experience preferred but not required.
S kills & K n o w l e d ge:- Able to use/learn Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Able to use/learn SAP or similar software.
- Ability to be trained & operate a PIV (Powered Industrial Vehicle) as needed.
