    Center Manager (1008)

    Purpose & Impact:

    The Center Manager will support the mission and purpose of the Children Boards Family Resource Center program. Will assist the CBFRC Director by providing supervision and direction to Intake Referral Specialist, Support Specialist, and Family Specialists.

    Essential Functions:

    • Provide overall management of the programmatic, administrative, financial, and operational systems related to the provision of Center services.
    • Serves as the leader for day-to-day Center operational decision-making and as main point of contact for collaborating with community partners.
    • Monitors daily operation of assigned staff to assure progression toward agencys contract goals.
    • Participates with CBFRC Director in formulation of agency policies, and with agency CQI activities.
    • Meets regularly with CBFRC Director to review Center activities.
    • Train and develop Center staff in skills to implement programs or events at the Center.
    • Recruit and facilitate an engaged Advisory Council to survey and guide both operations and services.
    • Provide timely reports to Childrens Board, regarding operations, services, and finances.
    • Establish a respectful and supportive workplace environment; and elevating any issues or concerns to the CBFRC Director.
    • Attends Program meetings as required.
    • Performs written employee evaluations for all assigned staff.
    • Responds to staff and clients to ameliorate problems.
    • Participates in recruitment, hiring and training of new employees.
    • Work collaboratively with volunteers and community resources.
    • Provides community education and engagement through public presentations.
    • Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with local programs.
    • Work flexible hours to include some evenings and Saturdays.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Other:

    • Must demonstrate sensitivity to our service populations cultural and socioeconomic characteristics and needs.
    • Performs all other duties within reason as assigned by CBFRC Director.
    • understand the value and foundation of the Protective Factors framework.
    • Practice Family Support Principles
    • Cross trained to perform daily operating procedures.
    • Participate in Center events and work to support contractual outcomes.
    • Obtain training in the Center data system: Attendance and Needs Tracking System and maintain member confidentiality.
    • Bilingual employees may be needed to review and/or translate (verbal or written communications)
    • Attend mandatory trainings and perform other duties as assigned.

    Physical Requirements:

    Must have a high level of energy, adaptability to irregular hours, able to travel as needed.

    Education:

    Bachelors degree in social work, Early Childhood Education or related field required.

    Experience:

    • Supervisory experience and experience with required data systems preferred.
    • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred in both verbal and writing skills.

    Skills:

    The Manager must possess a strength-based approach to family support service delivery and uses resources wisely. Demonstrated skills in developing programming to meet the unique needs of the community and Center members. The Manager has the capacity to apply knowledge in assessing situations, providing clear verbal/written communications, responding to incidents or crisis, and capacity to supervise/coach staff.

    Principal Accountabilities:

    • Reports to CBFRC Director
    • Team player with co-workers, administrators and funders
    • Accurate, complete and timely submission of required statistical data and reports is collected, processed, and submitted in a timely manner.
    • Adherence to agency policies and management practices
    • Effective staff management and leadership.
