The Medical Surgical Staff Nurse will be a highly competent and well-organized professional who places the patient at the center of every decision made. The Staff nurse values safety, security and patient wellness above all else. This role focuses on providing the best care possible while ensuring patient satisfaction in every interaction, working closely with other members of the patient care team within the scope of hospital policy, established standards, planof care and in accordance with the needs and/or wants of each patient. The Registered Nurse collaborates/cooperates with the care team for promotion of health to obtain the optimal level of wellness for patients, family, and community. He/she develops and initiates the nursing care plan utilizing the nursing process.

Education
Graduate of an approved school of nursing
Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the State of Vermont is required.

Experience
Mental and physical health sufficient to meet the demands of the position
Professional appearance
Satisfactory references
BLS required, ACLS for specific departments
