    What you'll do

    As the Field Service Supervisor for Utilimaster (A Shyft Group Brand) based at our facility in Bristol, IN, you will spearhead the efficient management of our Field Service Team and ensure seamless operations align with cost-effectiveness, safety, and quality standards.

    Your primary focus in this role will be to maximize the efficiency of the Field Service Team while maintaining quality standards. You will also enjoy partnering with customers to deliver successful outcomes across various projects, while overseeing field service tools, schedules, and logistics, with a focus on continuous improvement.

    The quality of your leadership will be pivotal in maintaining strong customer relationships and evaluating team members. Additionally, your strategic approach will be crucial in achieving departmental goals and swiftly addressing any problem that may arise.

    You will also:
    • Manage all Field Service team obligations in the areas of cost, scheduling, safety, and quality
    • Be on call to field questions and concerns from team members and customers
    • Partner with customers to create a win-win outcome for every Field Service project
    • Identify and gather the tools needed to complete each Field Service project
    • Oversee the tool and equipment maintenance and maintain the inventory control systems
    • Act as the primary liaison for Field Service Teams and on-site customer communication
    • Coach and mentor Field Service colleagues who are less experienced
    • Convey the Field Service Team schedule to colleagues customers
    • Carry out scheduling and sync up field resources to create production synergy
    • Balance projects for optimal efficiency and quality gains
    • Drive continuous improvement of Utilimaster's Field Service model
    • Coordinate the logistics to balance budgets for travel, freight, and equipment transportation
    • Build and nurture sound relationships with colleagues and customers
    • Oversee the manage the evaluation process for colleagues within Field Service
    • Solve complex problems that arise within the Field Service department
    • Monitor staffing levels and productivity for each Field Service Team
    • Prepare business plans related to staffing
    • Direct the tracking of Field Service departmental performance goals for onsite operations
    • Identify and implement corrective action plans for performance short falls
    • Capable of traveling to other Utilimaster locations on short notice

    What you need to be successful
    • HS Diploma or GED
    • 5 or more years of supervisory experience
    • Associate degree or College preparatory education (Preferred)
    • A history of understanding and following company processes and procedures
    • Advanced tool utilization and field service equipment knowledge
    • Solid problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills]
    • Dedication to creating remarkable customer experiences
    • Ability to manage others and expertise in scheduling and timeline development
    • Versed in overcoming high-stress situations
    • Effective organizational skills and the ability to utilize a computer
    • Ability to handle sensitive and personal information
