Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer, the Nurse Manager Behavioral Health will oversee all behavioral health and psychiatric services for the hospital, including the psychiatric emergency program, inpatient unit, and outpatient services. As a member of the NYS Council for Community Behavioral Healthcare, this hospital provides a full continuum of quality and compassionate behavioral health services to patients requiring emergency psychiatric care, to those seeking support groups. Patients will work with an interdisciplinary team of specialized physicians, nurses, counselors, social workers, and therapists to create individualized treatment plans.

Responsibilities of the Nurse Manager Behavioral Health will include overseeing department workflow, scheduling, assisting with staff education, ensuring state and regulatory compliance, updating policy procedures, implementing quality performance improvement initiatives, managing budgets, and cross collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. As the service line resource, the Nurse Manager Behavioral Health will be excited to support and mentor, be up to date with best practices and techniques, and have recent inpatient psychiatric services or inpatient behavioral health leadership experience.
