Under the direction of the Cardiac Manager and supervision of the Charge RN the Telemetry Staff Nurse will be responsible for administering the fundamentals of the nursing process, contributing to the nursing assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning implementation, and evaluation.

The Cardiac Unit at this hospital is a critical care unit staffed by nurses trained to provide care to the adult through geriatric population who require continuous cardiac monitoring. The primary diagnosis may include cardiac patients with congestive heart failure, unstable angina, heart arrhythmias, post-pacer and post-heart catheterization patients, and respiratory patients. After the departments stroke certification, the Cardiac Unit nurses are now NIH certified and care for Neuro patients including patients suffering from TIA, CVA, and other neurological conditions.
