TheOperating Room Surgical Services Charge Nurse RN will be accountable for working with thePerioperativeServices Nurse Manager and Director to provide twenty four hour oversight of nursing practice including staff recruitment, retention, staff performance and counseling, policy/procedure, staffing, performance improvement, staff development and education, resource management and program development.

TheOperating Room Surgical Services Charge Nurse RN will communicate with physicians regarding clinical issues. The Surgery Operating Room Charge Nurse RN will communicate with the Surgical Services Director regarding services, guiding orientation and all in-service education for the staff. TheOperating Room Surgical Services Charge Nurse RN will continually assess, measure and improve departmental performance standard according toHCAHPScustomer service benchmark.

TheOperating Room Surgical Services Charge Nurse RN will assist in directing operations of thePerioperativeDepartment to assure compliance with all regulatory agencies and hospital requirements. TheOperating Room Surgical Services Charge Nurse RN will work with department director in assuring collaborative departmental approach to planning care, service design and development of organizational policies and procedures. This will be 3 twelve hour night shifts.
