    What You'll Do

    The purpose of this job is to oversee the daily operations of the Material Handling Department, including but not limited to Receiving and all Warehouse Located areas. To give daily direction to Team Leaders and all material handling personnel. To make sure that Lean Manufacturing practices are implemented and followed. To maintain and keep a clean safe working environment for our Makers.
    • Make sure that all Martin SBD policies and procedures are followed.
    • Follow the Employee Handbook when making decisions.
    • Assign jobs and responsibilities fairly and according to company policy.
    • Make sure all material is received, unloaded and located properly.
    • Make sure all parts are delivered to production areas in the right place, in the right quantity and on a timely basis.
    • Help train new personnel in all aspects of their job and ascertain that all employee training is documented and filed with HR.
    • Document and work with HR on employee related issues such as disciplinary write ups, or employee recognition.
    • Make certain that employees time and attendance is entered and approved within our operating system, and work with HR and Accounting to resolve issues promptly.
    • Help insure that employees keep all areas in the department clean and safe.

    Who You Are
    • High school diploma
    • Lift truck certification
    • Good math skills
    • Must be able to insure fairness and impose disciplines
    • Must have good communication skills
    • Must be able to make decisions and work independently
