With over 200-beds, this short term acute care medical center in the Greater San Diego area is actively searching for an exceptional Nursing Leader to join its Pediatric Critical Care Management team. The Assistant Manager of PICU will join an outstanding nursing program, and a non-profit hospital thats become a staple in the community over its 50+ years. Centered around its most acute services is a full host of community health services including Primary Care, a great Family Birthing Center, Oncology Care, and a highly-rated Orthopedics program.
Reporting to the Pediatric Intensive Care Services Nursing Manager, the PICU Assistant Nursing Manager will oversee a large and high-acuity unit. Your talents will join those of an outstanding unit as you collaborate across disciplines and departments to ensure that patient care is front and center. Supported by two CCRN-P Charge Nurses, the PICU Assistant Manager will provide vision, leadership, and mentorship to a strong staff of 60+ Critical Care Registered Nurses, a CCRN-P Critical Care Educator, Post Anesthesia RNs, and support staff.
This multi-specialty Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) has had an astounding track record of delivering the highest quality, award winning care. The PICU Assistant Nursing Manager will take direct clinical and managerial control of this high-performing 24-bed unit, and youll be accountable for keeping the staff and practice on the path to success. Clinical support will be provided by Interventionists who are staffed around the clock, offering Cardiac, Stroke, and Post-Surgical Care,
The PICU Nursing Assistant Manager will play a crucial role in the clinical and administrative operations of the Pediatric ICU Critical Care Unit. In collaboration with Inpatient Quality Management experts, Case Management, and other Inpatient Nurse Leaders throughout the Continuum of Care, youll maintain active oversight of this high-acuity unit. The Assistant Manager (ANM) will oversee day-to-day clinical operations, mentoring and serving as an active participant in patient care improvement. This person will support both the Manager and the Director in developing and maintaining the departments annual budget and staying current on compliance standards for a number of regulatory agencies.
