Job Description
The ideal candidate will lead the project execution activities, manages the change order process, provides project communications and is the primary contact for the project team and customer (may be another Emerson entity, trade entity, or end user). You will interface with customers, and the engineering, production, documentation, quotations and sales teams. You will drive project success through personal initiative, leadership of an extended cross-functional project team to meet project deliverables, and mitigation of risks and management of the change orders to protect the project margin. You will be responsible for the smooth execution of projects by ensuring project management/engineering standards are implemented at all times.
AS A SR PROJECT MANAGER, YOU WILL:
* Active participation in early engagement (pre-order) activities whenever required
* Attend project kick-off meetings to ensure customer requirements are disseminated and clearly understood by all supporting groups
* Lead the internal contract review meeting to ensure clear understanding of the scope of supply by all team members and to deploy the project milestone schedule
* Interface with all stakeholders to clarify all project requirements and to ensure that all relevant project knowledge is transferred
* Control project plan by reviewing design, plan and schedule changes; recommend actions; perform risk management to minimize project risks
* Coordinate with the Document Controller for timely documentation reviews, submittals, revisions, approvals and any other documentation requirements throughout the project
* Ensure our contractual commitments are fulfilled while maximizing customer satisfaction
* Maximize margin uplift through proficient customer change order management; ensure a quick and accurate customer change order quotation with lead time impact based on change order policies is delivered to the customer
* Renegotiate with customers the delivery date and order value in case of change order request
* Escalate team issues that require assistance for resolution to appropriate internal managers as necessary
* Plan and organize customer and/or third party inspections, support NCR s resolution and escalate when necessary
* Manage several projects in parallel, with an ability to do own workload planning including at other locations
* Produce and issue regular status communications to our customer, key stakeholders and internal senior management that include items such as progress to milestones, risks and opportunities, and profitability status
* Considered the SME for project management at the site which includes developing and training of new project management processes/procedures
* Conducts PMO training for new hires on PMO standards, procedures, checklists, etc.
* Lead project closure meetings, issue closeout document including GP Analysis and Best Practices via RCCM

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
* Bachelor s degree in technical field (preferred) plus a minimum of 8 years proven work experience in engineering-based Project Management role OR combination of education and proven work experience in engineering-based Project Management role Experience managing international projects (Europe, Middle East, India, and/or Asia required)
* Knowledge & understanding of EPC market preferred
* Familiar with valve and/or actuation industry desirable Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly with customers on both technical & commercial issues, be self-motivated, and adept at working in a cross-functional team environment (required)
* Demonstrated decisiveness in resolving business problems, making decisions and identifying priorities (required) Ability to plan, organize and multi-task to meet deadlines (required)
* PMP certificate preferred
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of applications
* Travel may be required on a limited basis
* Perform other duties as assigned
