An exciting opportunity is available as Surgical ICU Nurse Educator in a leading healthcare organization in the Georgia.

This is your opportunity to work with a Magnet designated hospital and with a diverse patient population on the surgical intensive care unit.There are currently 12 beds and expanding to 18.The patients will range fromENT, Head and Neck,OBGYNemergencies, Gastrointestinal and more with a focus on critical care general surgical and medical overflow.

The Surgical ICU Nurse Educator will collaborate with the Clinical Nurse Specialist and the Unit Director to determine educational needs of the department. The Educator will serve as a resource person to physicians, nurses, patients, and family members, is recognized as an expert clinician and a leader within their area of specialty and provides and coordinates the resources needed within the unit to provide optimal patient outcomes. The Educator will conduct annual educational needs assessment and implement learning strategies to improve staff knowledge base and collaborates with management and patient/family advisory council to develop standardized teaching materials for patient and family learning needs.

The Surgical ICU Nurse Educator will have a Bachelor's degree in Nursing with at least 2 years experience in the area of concentration. There are two positions available - a day shift and a night shift.
