Job Description:

The Perioperative Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) is responsible for assessing, planning and implementing care of the patient in the Operating Room. The RNFA works in collaboration with the surgeon and other health care team members to perform certain delegated medical functions within the scope of practice of an RN qualified to practice as an RNFA.

Requirements:

• Currently licensed in the State of Tennessee or Compact State as a Registered Nurse in good standing
• Completion of an RNFA educational program recognized by the State Board of Nursing
• BLS Certification required
• ACLS Certification required (must be obtained by the end of the month after 90 days of hire or placement)

Experience/Skills:

• 1 year experience as an RNFA preferred
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced, ever changing environment
• Ability to flex hours and shifts due to fluctuations in patient acuity and staff availability
• Good hand dexterity
