Unit Description:

Sodexo is seeking an experiencedRegistered Dietitianfor an inpatient position at Corpus Christi Medical Center Bay Area, a 152-bed level II trauma center located inCorpus Christi, TX.The dietitian in this role will provide nutrition care to a variety of patients, including those on our level III NICU.Remote charting capabilities offered - this is not a fully remote position but does allow for generous flexibility with remote charting when needed.No weekends!

$3000 sign on Bonus

Reporting to the Clinical Nutrition Manager, the successful candidate will:

• provide inpatient coverage on a variety of units, including the NICU and perinatal floors;
• be flexible, reliable and knowledgeable;
• serve as a respected member of the interdisciplinary team;
• act as a clinical educator, giving presentations to healthcare team members on a variety of nutrition topics as needed;
• be involved as a clinical instructor and preceptor for dietetic interns, new hires, and peers; and
• always project an image of professionalism.

Is this opportunity right for you? We are looking for candidates who have:

• Registered Dietitian credential and three years of inpatient clinical experience;
• prior experience in nutrition support, CNSC strongly preferred;
• excellent interpersonal communication skills to interact with a wide variety of individuals and groups; and
• strong time management and organizational skills.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Basic Education Requirement: Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) (Note: For those seeking registration after 2023, this must be a masters degree)

Basic Management Experience: 7+ months general supervision

Basic Functional Experience: 3 years experienced specialized practitioner in a clinical specialty

Credentials Requirement:

• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR);
• certification/ licensure as required by state(s) of practice; specialty credential in area(s) of focused practice, as applicable
