- Extensive Travel, up to 90%
- Must have the ability to work independently (unsupervised) and within a team
- Trusted to schedule travel itinerary and work independently to complete job assignments within GEAs quoted assigned timeframes
- Extended workdays, up to 12-16 hour days
- Occasional weekend work scheduled
- Understanding of hand tools and mechanical techniques
- Computer skills / Mircosoft software and the ability to learn GEAs systems/programs
- Technical writing skills / Documentation - Essential: Write and submit on time clear, detailed, and concise Service Reports after each job assignment
- Ability to read schematics, diagrams (PID) and technical manuals
- Must have a valid driver license
- Must be able to communicate technically complex issues with non-technical personnel
- Good orgaizational skills, especially critical for on-site job assignments
- Work safety: safely work and follow all required safety guidelines and policies

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to regulated hazardous chemicals, fumes, odors, and airborne particles.- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be heavy at times.
- Must be able to work in a congested area, often with other, unrelated work happening nearby
- Frequent damp or wet locations
- Some work locations are in refrigerated areas, others reflect the outdoor environment
- Must work well under pressure without responding negatively to the Customer

- While performing the duties of this job, the Field Service Technician is regularly required to communicate and listen to Field Personnel and Customers.
- The employee frequently is required to be ambulatory; may need to remain seated or standing for long periods of time; use hands and fingers to operate mechanical tools, computer keyboard, mouse, and telephone keypad; reach with hands and arms. Stand for long periods of time and frequent bending and squatting
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to and over 75 pounds.
