    Security Systems Service Technician

    What you will do

    The Security Systems Service Technician is a troubleshooter and a service expert who is responsible for the service and repair of Commercial security, fire alarm, CCTV and card access systems including repairing or replacing systems; alleviating concerns customers may have regarding a security system; and advising customers and the customer care center of the status of systems and processes. Security Service Technicians are set up with all of the tools and equipment needed to work independently from a remote location.

    How you will do it

    • Install, troubleshoot and service fire alarm, security video surveillance, CCTV, card access systems and other security equipment at Commercial customer sites.

    • Locate and alleviate issues with damaged equipment or wiring.

    • Readjust equipment, repair or replace inoperative equipment and test for operation.

    • Prepare trouble order forms to report temporary repairs.

    • Coordinate inspections and/or installations with Police, Fire Departments or other appropriate agencies.

    What we look for

    Required:

    • State of Montana Security Alarm Installer license.

    • Experience installing and servicing fire alarm, security video surveillance, CCTV and card access systems.

    • Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, programs schematics and operational/product manuals.

    • Experience with hand tools, multi-meter usage and handheld power tools.

    • Valid driver's license with an excellent driving record.

    • Ability to pass an DMV, background check and drug test.

    • Demonstrated aptitude for troubleshooting systems and performing necessary repairs.

    • Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs.

    • Ability to work in unusual and sometimes difficult position such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.

    • Ability to work flexible hours including on-call rotation, nights, and occasional weekends to meet customer requirements.

    • Demonstrate a high level of customer service and the ability to communicate effectively with customers.

    • Ability to adhere to, implement and always follow safety guidelines and procedures.

    • Strong organizational skills, positive attitude and ability to learn quickly.

    Preferred:

    • NICET II certification or currently enrolled in the NICET program and will obtain the NICET II certification within one year. (CURRENT NICET II HOLDERS EARN AN ADDITIONAL 5% ON THE HOURLY ALLOTMENT).
