Position Description
CGI, a Platinum Salesforce Implementation Partner, is seeking a Salesforce Solution (application) Architect. The Salesforce Solution Architect will rely on their deep understanding of the Salesforce platform and experience to help guide the creation of solutions for CGI's Salesforce customer base. This person will work within a CGI team to understand our client's business needs and help deliver value through technology using Salesforce.
U.S. based candidates will be considered with a preference for Austin, Dallas and Houston, TX residents. CGI utilizes a hybrid model and members should be prepared to work in the local CGI office or client site, as needed.
Your future duties and responsibilities
Project Work:
Communicate complex topics regarding solutions and related projects to audiences without deep technical skills
Cultivate and nurture relationships with our clients through transparency, organization, and impeccable communication
Ability to work with customers to understand current vs. future state roadmap
Work within a CGI Salesforce project team to shape technical solutions and collect functional and non-functional requirements to address our client specific needs
Create technical design documentation
Work with CGI Salesforce development teams to meet development work timelines and adhere to solution standards
Groom and refine the Salesforce product backlog for our client projects
Provide guidance in user story writing
Describe and illustrate designs leveraging tools like: Visio, Lucid, Mural
Stay up to date on new Salesforce features/releases/products
Work on our Proposal Teams
Facilitate discussions with both business and technical stakeholders to extract critical business requirements and present a technical vision & solution that meet customer and project needs
Communicate complex topics regarding solutions and related projects to audiences without deep technical skills
Assist in building proposals for business development opportunities
Work with the client, sales team, business partners, and related practice area leaders within CGI to prescribe a complete solution to meet project goals as well as longer term needs. (Solutions include software products, product customizations, custom development, other technical and business services, integration, and the project plans and estimates necessary to implement the solution)
Based on the prescribed solution; provide project plans, estimates and scope input to sales for proposals and statements of work
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
5 - 8 years of prior Salesforce hands-on experience as an architect
Ability to configure and customize Salesforce.com environments with a deep understanding of the constraints imposed by governor limits, editions and licensing, etc
Experience with multi-org deployment architectures and developing apps for AppExchange is a definite plus
Understanding of front-end and back-end development including: Aura Framework, Lightning Web Component (LWC), Visualforce, Apex, REST and SOAP-based web services, debugging, troubleshooting, and performance management
Understanding of relational databases and experience with SOQL
Experience with integration design patterns with Salesforce (leveraging an iPaaS or custom)
Experience with data migrations between Salesforce and other systems is preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills. Candidates must be able to effectively convey information and recommendations to clients (technical and non-technical)
Ability to coach, motivate, and direct work tasks to a team of Salesforce professionals
Ability to tailor communication to multiple audiences at all levels
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to observe trends. Able to actively make suggestions based on results
Ability to work with SMEs, other Solution Architects, sales teams and clients to determine the best solutions for known and anticipated constraints
Certified Salesforce Application and/or System Architect (or on the way to becoming Certified)
Bachelor's Degree in Information Science, Computer Science or other related Degree

CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set level, experience and training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $106,300 - $235,400.
