    Ashley Is Now Hiring Experienced CDL A Drivers in Advance, NC - Home Weekly!

    Ashley Pacific Northwest is hiring experienced CDL-A Drivers for company driver opportunities in Advance, NC! The driver will be responsible for transporting freight between Norfolk VA, and Advance NC, on a regular basis. This is a drop-drop freight position, and drivers will not be required to load or unload freight. The ideal candidate should have a valid CDL, at least 1 year of verifiable driving experience, and a strong commitment to safety and reliability.

    Compensation:

    • Starting pay rate of $0.53 per mile
    • Home weekly with the opportunity to pass through the house
    • Additional benefits and incentives may be provided

    Responsibilities

    • Safely operate a commercial vehicle (CDL) to transport freight between Norfolk, VA, and Advance, NC
    • Adhere to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company policies
    • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure its safety and report any maintenance or repair needs
    • Follow designated routes and schedules to ensure timely and efficient deliveries
    • Communicate with dispatch and logistics teams to provide updates on delivery status or any issues encountered
    • Ensure accurate completion of all necessary paperwork and logs, including mileage, fuel consumption, and hours of service records
    • Maintain a clean and organized vehicle
    • Adhere to safety protocols and practices at all times
    • Represent the company in a professional and customer-focused manner


    Requirements:

    • Valid CDL with appropriate endorsement
    • Must live within 100 Miles of Advance, NC
    • Minimum of 1 year verifiable driving experience
    • Clean driving record
    • Knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance
    • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
    • Strong commitment to safety and attention to detail
    • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
    • Physical fitness and the ability to safely load and unload freight (if required)
    • Flexibility to work a schedule that may include weekends and overnight trips
