About This Role
This position is responsible for leading a team of SMB Account Managers and Business Sales Support Specialists. This role will be responsible for the execution of the SMB sales strategies and achieving all assigned sales goals within a defined territory. You will lead key activities including objectives for operations, SMB sales activities, revenue growth, and ensuring the delivery of an exceptional customer experience.
- Lead, manage and direct a team of SMB sales associates. Set and ensure the achievement of daily, weekly, monthly and annual goals to meet financial, operational and development objectives for self and team.
- Develop and implement sales plans aligned with the company strategy to acquire new business and increase revenue for small and medium businesses while providing maintenance and support of existing business customers across all channels of distribution.
- Provide continuous development and training for SMB Account Managers and Business Sales Support Specialist to acquire new customer growth, increase sales performance and enhance the retention of existing customers.
- Understand and ensure the targeted business customers meet our financial goals and are profitable to the company.
- Responsible for recruiting, hiring and training sales associates and maintaining accurate associate and business records.
- Assist associates with resolving escalated customer issues.
- Provide leadership with market information and competitive insights on a regular basis.
Minimum Requirements
- College degree or equivalent experience
- 5-7 years commissioned sales experience in business to business sales, retail sales, or government (Local and State) accounts sales environments.
- Proven business sales success
- 3 years of leadership experience, including managing direct reports in an outside business sales environment.
- Strong organizational skill
- Ability to translate strategic objectives into manageable goals and tactical plans
- Strong analytical and financial acumen
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
