    Nurse Practitioner Pediatric Neurosurgery

    A Central California Acute Care Medical Center is actively seeking a Pediatric Neurosurgery Nurse Practitioner or Neurosurgery Physician Assistant

    The Surgical Physician Assistant or NP will be responsible for assisting surgeons in the diagnosis, scheduling, treatment, and follow up of Neurosurgery patients in the outpatient setting.

    The Pediatric Neurosurgery Physician Assistant will report to the Chief Surgeon Neurosurgery and will be part of a team looking to grow the medical centers procedures, surgeries include: Endoscopic Surgery, Brain Tumors, Hydrocephalus, Craniosynostosis Surgery, Epilepsy Surgery, Spinal Dyraphism, Stereotactic biopsy and resections, Decompression for Chiari Malformations, Spinal Fusions, Robotic guided surgery & Craniotomies for tumor resection.

    The Surgical Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant acts as the first assist in surgery and participates in quality assessment and continuous quality improvement & performance improvement activities.

    The Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner is expected to maintain a high quality of patient care, and is an active member of the Medical Centers ongoing quality improvement programs. The Medical Center fosters a collaborative environment, and the PA / NP is an integral part of enhancing professional practice and patient education and satisfaction.
