    HCA Florida Fort Walton-Destin Hospital? located on Florida's Emerald Coast, seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Labor and Delivery Team! Our unit consists of 4 labor rooms and 12 recovery suites. We seek a full time RN whose priority is to provide the highest level of care in a compassionate environment. This role will work in a PRN/ Per Diem status.

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The Registered Nurse is responsible to Charge Nurse and Nursing Director for the delivery of quality patient care utilizing the nursing process. The quality of care given will be in keeping with the philosophy and objectives of the hospital and the Department of Nursing and will maintain and support the standards of nursing care and practice in order to meet the health care needs of patients, their families and the community.

    The Registered Nurse prescribes delegates and coordinates all nursing care provided throughout the hospital. The RN supervises patient care support personnel. The RN is responsible for meeting all standards associated with performance, nursing practice and nursing care.

    Job Summary and Qualifications

    EDUCATION REQUIRED AND/OR PREFERRED:

    Associate Degree, Diploma in Nursing, or BSN required

    LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:

    Current FL RN license required or appropriate compact licensure. If compact license held, active FL RN license required within 90 days of hire.

    BLS required prior to start, ACLS within 90 days of hire required

    AWHONN FHR required within 18 months and renewed every 2 years

    NRP required within 90 days of hire

    ACLS within 90 days of hire

    EXPERIENCE REQUIRED OR PREFERRED:

    Previous L&D experience preferred

    SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:

    Reads and writes Basic English with the basic skills necessary to transcribe physicians orders

    Knowledge of body substance isolation

    Ability to listen, empathize and respond to patient, family, internal and external partners needs

    Basic computer skills
