As a Water Attendant at the Thrill Capital of New England
What You Will Be Doing:
- Keep a close eye on swimmers enjoying our many exciting water attractions
- Act as a first responder to keep guests safe
- Assist guests in and out of rafts and cycle through the line efficiently
- Calculate the proper dispatch interval between riders
- Provide guests with a safe and enjoyable ride experience
- Keep ride patios and midways clean and looking great
How You Will Do It:
- Ability to work in an environment as fast-paced as our water slides
- Will complete and maintain Ellis and Associates training and certification
- Pass ride certification tests with 100% accuracy
- Understand basic rescue techniques, first aid, and CPR
- Strong attention to detail, not easily distracted, and commitment to safety
- Friendly, outgoing personality
- Positive attitude to make guests excited about their ride or swim
- Must react well in stressful and emergency situations
What You Will Need:
- Must be 16 years or older
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
- Able to read, speak, write, and understand the English language
- Able to meet the physical demands of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations, including walking long distances, standing for long periods of time, lifting, working at heights, etc.

ERRORS/SAFETY
Errors in performance, mismanaged paperwork, or failure to adhere to and enforce Operations policies as stated in any Standard Operating Procedures Manual may result in injuries or fatalities to yourself or others and can result in disciplinary action as outlined in the progressive discipline policy.
CONTACT WITH OTHERS
Direct and continuous interaction with Guests, team members, leads, and supervisors throughout the entire park

MENTAL OR VISUAL DEMAND
Requires corrected 20/20 vision and high mental demand with no diminished reaction time
PHYSICAL DEMAND
- Requires some lifting, standing, walking, bending, eye/hand coordination, near vision, hearing, and speech.
- Requires frequent kneeling, manual dexterity, gross motor skills, and color definition.
- Strong physical mobility--the ability to move easily in different work stations, hand and arm movement and utilizes safe lifting and carrying techniques
- Must be able to stand for up to 6 hours at a times and as many as 14 hours a day
- Must be able to walk consistently throughout the course of an 8-hour day over various surfaces
- Must be able to climb a ladder up to 12 ft. in height.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs consistently
- Cannot have one of the following communicable diseases, Shigellosis, Campylobacterios, Salmonellosis, Hepatitis A, Cryptosporidiosis, Giardiasis, E.coli.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Continuously works outside and closely with others.
- Exposure to dust, dirt, water, and sun.
- Will be required to work on platforms higher than 30ft above ground level.
- Must be able to function in all weather conditions for long periods of time.
