Our client in Spring Valley, NY is looking for a Medical Biller that specializes in Workers' Compensationto join their team at a medical center.Medical billers for workers' compensation will process,submitand manageclaims related to medical services provided to employees who have suffered work-related injuries or illnesses. In addition to, Ensuringthat healthcare providers are appropriately compensated for the treatment they deliver to workers covered by the workers' compensation insurance system.

• Pay: Rate: $25+/hr
  
• Shift: Monday - Thursday 9am-5pm and Friday 9am- 2pm
  
• Full time hours

What will you be doing?

• Understanding Workers' Compensation Regulation by staying current on regulations and guidelines to ensure accurate billing
  
• Verify and collect all necessary information related to the injured worker, including insurance details, employer information, and accident details.
  
• Prepare and submit worker's compensation insurance claims to appropriate insurance carriers
  
• Ensure that all required documentation including medical reports and treatment plans are included with the claim
  
• Assign appropriate medial codes to diagnoses, procedures, and services related to workers' compensation cases
  
• Ensure accurate and detailed documentation to support the billing codes.
  
• Monitor the status of worker's compensation claims and follow up with insurance carriers to facilitate timely reimbursement
  
• Track and process payment received from workers' compensation insurance carriers
  
• Handle claim denials and submit appeals when necessary.
  
• Generate and analyze reports related to billing, claim status, reimbursement, and denial reasons.
  
• Accurately code, document, and submitclaims to the relevant workers' compensation insurance carriers,
  
• Facilitating the reimbursement of medical expenses incurred in the treatment of work-related health issues.

• Familiarity with ICD 10
