    Driver - CDL

    FULL-TIME

    $35/hr

    A Rasmussen Driver is a key team member responsible for preparing high quality equipment and rigging for delivery to customers, maintaining vehicles, delivering rigging and equipment, and more. This individual takes pride in their work, values working as a team to achieve common goals, has high integrity, and works safely at all times.

    A Rasmussen Driver safely operates commercial vehicles with capacities ranging from 10,000lbs to more than 40 tons to transport materials to and from customer locations, jobsites, and supplier facilities. They diligently maintain truck logs according to regulations. They always communicate effectively and respectfully with other Rasmussen Team Members, customers, and suppliers. They may operate auxiliary equipment mounted on truck such as winch, hoist, etc., and load or unload trucks, change tires, and make minor repairs as required. This position requires a valid class B or A commercial driver's license (CDL).

    Benfits & Compensation Range: $30/hr - $36/hr DOE; Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k match, Sick & Vacation time, Home Every Night, and more.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time, with or without written notice. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

    Always properly use the appropriate PPE for intended use and application

    Operate forklift equipment safely, effectively, and efficiently.

    Routinely and effectively communicate progress, updates, and issues to Supervisor

    Maintain safety and cleanliness of company vehicles.

    Safely and effectively operate tools including power tools, saws, hammers, impact drivers, and hand tools.

    Prepare and stage equipment to be loaded on trucks.

    Check vehicles to ensure mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order.

    Follow appropriate safety procedures for transporting dangerous goods.

    Maintain logs of working hours or of vehicle service or repair status, following applicable state and federal regulations.

    Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles immediately.

    Check all load-related documentation for completeness and accuracy.

    Obtain receipts or signatures & pictures for delivered and picked up items.

    Load and secure cargo safely, ensuring completeness of order, without damaging cargo.

    Demonstrate basic operation of equipment to customers.

    Represent company in a positive way in all customer and vendor interactions.

    Load/unload customer and other 3rd party or delivery vehicles in the yard.

    Assist in maintaining order and cleanliness of the yard and facilities.

    Other duties as assigned.

    Schedule

    Shift start: 7:00AM
    Shift length: 8 hours
    Monday-Friday, rare evenings and weekends may be required.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
