    Executive Chef 3

    Unit Description:

    Sodexo is seeking an Executive Chef 3 for Arnot Health located in Elmira, NY.

    The Executive Chef at this location must be skilled in employee development, training, quality assurance, working with Senior Management and leaders. Reporting to the General Manager, this position will oversee the cook section of approximately 10 union employees and provide support to the GM as needed.

    The Executive Chef is responsible for oversight among all retail platforms such as the Cafe and Catering within the areas of station development including menu planning, production system, food safety, recipe development and training. The ideal Executive Chef candidate will have exceptional communication skills, an eye for changing food trends, and healthy menu options.

    Must have previous culinary management experience in healthcare and/or hospitality environment!

    The successful candidate will:

    • help implement and standardize all culinary systems and procedures for hospital;
    • supervise, develop, and mentor frontline staff;
    • procurement and purchasing;
    • help create menus based on client needs;
    • help create interpersonal relationships with clients.

    We are looking for candidates who have:

    • a strong culinary background in a high-volume environment;
    • strong leadership skills and experience;
    • menu planning experience and a strong understanding of current culinary trends;
    • proficient computer skills, highly organized, and detail focused.

    Qualifications & Requirements:

    Basic Education Requirement - Bachelors Degreeor equivalent experience

    Basic Management Experience - 3 years

    Basic Functional Experience - 3 yearswork experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
