    What You'll Do

    You'll be a key IT leader and business partner for the Enterprise Data and Infrastructure (EDIS) team within the Enterprise Development & Operations organization. You'll develop and drive adaptive and flexible processes in support of enterprise data solutions. Other responsibilities include:

    • Providing strategic direction for planning, design and architecture of complex data solutions.
    • Developing technology components of Cox Communications enterprise data strategy.
    • Driving an adopted vision, strategy and roadmap.
    • Providing architectural guidance and support to technology stacks for data-oriented services.
    • Driving and implementing recommendations (upstream) and their integration to downstream for real-time analytics, operational analysis and metrics reporting.
    • Conducting industry research, monitoring trends and evaluating new methodologies, technologies and tools.
    • Initiating engagements with external vendors and internal organizations.
    • Facilitating active partnerships companywide.
    • Developing and driving adoption of architecture standards and policies within EDIS, technology and business stakeholders.
    • Actively developing, implementing and managing the enterprise data solutions roadmap with EDIS leadership team.
    • Providing guidance, coaching and leadership to EDIS data architects.


    Who You Are

    You're a dreamer and a doer. You're ethical, trustworthy and reliable. You have a passion for tech and what makes it tick. You also have the following qualifications:

    Minimum:

    • One of the following:

      • A BS/BA in computer science engineering or other IT/ technical degree with 10+ years of experience, OR
      • A master's degree with 8+ years of experience, OR
      • A PhD with 5+ years of experience, OR
    • 10+ years of relevant experience with at least 5+ years of experience in a leadership role.
    • 10+ years in architecture design, development and implementation.
    • Experience in developing Service Oriented (SOA), web services, data services-oriented architectures.
    • Technical experience developing and using traditional stacks/tools.
    • Technical experience developing and using big data & analytics stacks/tools.
    • Technical experience implementing streaming platforms.
    • Knowledge of Cloud platforms such as: AWS, Google, Azure, and related platforms Snowflake, Databricks, etc.
    • Capable of working closely with cross-functional teams.
    • Experience with handling large datasets and architectures like Hadoop and open-source data mining tools.
    • A confident presence in client facing situations, polished verbal and written presentations, effective interpersonal skills and strong collaboration skills.


    Preferred:

    • Knowledge of AWS Stack: Redshift, Kinesis, EMT, Hadoop distributions, Elasticsearch, Streaming data, etc.
    • Knowledge and understanding of digital transformation, IoT, artificial intelligence and DevOps.
    • Knowledge of Telecommunications service offerings: video, voice, and high-speed data.
