Experience:

24 months of role experience is required.

36 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience is required.

Experience with Cerner is required.

Requirements:

Candidates must have a California license in hand at the time of application.

This role may require floating to additional units and locations

Candidates must live at least 50 miles away from this facility in order to be considered a traveler when applying for this role.

COVID vaccination required for onboarding. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

Guaranteed hours: 36

Every other weekend.

Weekend Requirement: 4 shifts out of 4-week schedule. Weekend shifts for nights are Fri/Sat & Sat Sun for days

Holidays: Travelers are expected to work into the perm staff holiday rotation schedule (1 major holiday & 1 minor holiday)

Scrub Color: Navy blue. If you wear a scrub jacket it also must be navy. If you wear an undershirt underneath your scrub top it must be navy, white, or black.

Travelers are the 1st to float. Could possibly float between MSW & MHB because they are under the same license, traveler may float between the two. Float to any MedSurg/Tele. ICU for MedSurg patients if no beds. ER for MedSurg Tele holds.

Common diagnosis / Types of patients: General MedSurg patients including bariatrics & all total joints. Must be comfortable with this. CVA patients, a-fib, amiodarone, set rate cardizem, dopamine & dobutamine only for renal perfusion. No titration. Heparin & hyperglycemia protocol. ETOH withdrawal per protocol (banana bag, etc drug withdrawal, drug seekers, addicts.
