    Job Summary and Qualifications

    As a Lead Imaging CT/Rad Technologist, you would perform portable and fixed unit Radiographic/Fluoroscopic procedures and Computed Tomography (CT) procedures in support of the patent diagnostic requirements at the Free Standing Emergency Facility. You would serve as a role model for Imaging related functions in the FSED.

    • Serves as immediate supervisor for all staff within modality.
    • Establishes priorities, delegates responsibility and effectively utilizes department time, personnel and equipment within the imaging modality.
    • Communicates appropriate information from leadership meetings and department administrative team to all modality staff in timely and positive manner.
    • Responsible for staffing all shifts in modality to include on-call coverage. Provides monthly work schedule to Department Administrative team.
    • Serves as preceptor for new technologists; schedules and documents department orientation and initial competency.
    • Maintains effective education program that is relevant to current equipment, technology and protocols for imaging modality.
    • Assures appropriate initial and annual competency is completed for all modality employees in timely manner.
    • Collaborates with Director on new hire stay interviews (30,60,90).
    • Collaborates with Director and provides input for employee reviews (PMPs) for modality.(90 day, mid- term, annual)
    • Responsible for coordinating work schedules to ensure all modality staff have the same opportunity to attend monthly meetings.
    • Responsible for typing and distributing modality meeting minutes; serves as meeting leader/facilitator along with Director/Asst. Director.
    • Reviews resumes and coordinates interviews with Director and Asst. Director. Arranges interview time with HR to assure appropriate staff, administrative and physician representation is available.
    • Ensures all regulatory standards are met and imaging modality is in compliance with State, Federal and JCAHO (CMS) regulations.
    • Enters timely work orders for repairs in modality.
    • Enters special supply orders in GHX for approval.
    • Responsible for maintaining appropriate supply inventory levels in accordance with hospital and corporate agreements.
    • Works with Department Director to approve leave requests in fair and timely manner, consistent with HR and Department policy.
    • Verifies modality supply invoices for approval.
    • Ensures all modality team members follow the company mission and adhere to the I.C.A.R.E. values for service excellence when providing imaging services and interacting with co-workers, leadership and physicians.

    Requirements:

    • Graduate of an AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology.
    • 3-5 years CT and X-Ray Experience.
    • ARRT-CT Registered.
    • Basic Life Support Certification.
