    Heidelberg Materials is seeking a responsible, safe, and dependable Millwright to join our local team. As a Millwright you will be responsible for preventative maintenance and repair work on all site mechanical equipment to keep the plant running smoothly and efficiently.

    What You'll Get To Do

    • Maintain, repair, and replace mechanical systems and associated equipment.
    • Perform field inspections of equipment for safe and proper operation.
    • Detect and troubleshoot irregularities, respond to malfunctions.
    • Anticipate problems and identify opportunities for improvement.
    • Operate machining tools to fabricate parts.
    • Perform preventative maintenance work on all site mechanical equipment.
    • Consult manufacturers manuals to determine maintenance procedures.
    • Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations, and with Company policies and procedures.

    What We Are Looking For

    • Experience working in a heavy industrial / manufacturing environment.
    • Valid interprovincial or Red Seal Millwright ticket.
    • Thorough knowledge and understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
    • Ability to read and interpret mechanical schematics, drawings and blueprints.
    • Ability to solve practical problems and perform all technical aspects of the job using the appropriate tools or systems.
    • Proficient computer skills.
    • Requires the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy loads, sometimes 50+ lbs.
    • Able to work inside and outside in year-round weather conditions
    • Requires lifting, kneeling, bending, twisting, pushing and pulling, working at elevated heights, at times in tight and awkward positions.
