    Position Type: Full-Time, Hourly, Non-Exempt

    Reports To: Service Department Manager

    Salary Range:$48-52/hour

    Role Overview:

    The Service Technician II / III at Vermont Mechanical is a seasoned professional in the HVAC field. This role is instrumental in addressing various service calls throughout Vermont, leveraging extensive industry knowledge and certifications. The technician is not just a problem solver but also a valued advisor, embodying VMI's dedication to integrity and meticulousness.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Diagnose and repair HVAC systems, including light commercial, industrial systems, and low to complex control systems.
    • Offer technical support and coaching to less experienced technicians and roles within the company.
    • Engage in VMI's preventative maintenance program and provide essential support for client-specific service proposals.
    • Contribute to the service department's on-call rotation, demonstrating flexibility and commitment.

    Qualifications:

    • Residency in Vermont. Rutland County Preferred.
    • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
    • Independent work skills, complemented by the ability to collaborate.
    • Ethical decision-making capabilities.
    • Required certifications in natural gas, propane, heating oil, backflow preventer, universal refrigerant, and Type S electrical.

    Physical Demands and Work Environment:

    • Frequent lifting, exposure to varied weather conditions, and operation in diverse physical spaces.
    • Safe driving and adherence to workplace safety standards.
