Our client in Lester Prairie, MN is seeking a Toolmakerto join their team.

We are hiring for both dayshift: 6am - 6pm and night shift: 6pm - 6am.

Job Title: Toolmaker

Location: Lester Prairie, MN

Pay Range: $31-$38.50 D.O.E

Whats the Job?

• Perform scheduled & emergency tooling repair, maintenance, cleaning & set-up of self-contained molds
  
• Inspect, build & maintain tooling & part fixtures using turning, milling & grinding operations
  
• Recommend changes to mold designs to improve life of the tooling
  
• Assist in troubleshooting of tooling on production floor in the molding machines & on the bench
  
• Understanding of hot runner tooling function, maintenance & troubleshooting
  
• Assist in the training of other toolmakers and apprentices
  
• Participation in plant-wide safety efforts - safe and careful work practices always followed to reinforce a culture of safety
  
• Support and participation in continuous improvement activities including maintaining a clean and organized workplace
  
• Responsiveness to customer, scheduling, production, engineering and maintenance demands
  
• Ability to work independently as well as on a team, and willing participation in cross-training activities
  
• Other responsibilities and projects as assigned
  

Whats Needed?

• Degree or diploma for 2-year machine trades program is required
• Two - Five years' experience in assembly and reassembly of molds with thorough knowledge & understanding of tooling, tool room practices, and fabrication techniques
  
• Ability to accurately troubleshoot and problem solve
  
• Mechanical aptitude
  
• Strong organizational skills
  
• Strong mathematical skills
