    Experience:

    12 months of role experience is required.

    24 months of Acute Care Float Pool experience is required.

    18 months of travel experience is required.

    Experience with Epic is required.

    Requirements:

    Candidates must have a South Dakota license or compact license prior to placement start.

    This role will require floating to multiple units

    Candidates must live at least 100 miles away from this facility in order to be eligible to apply for this role.

    COVID vaccination required for onboarding. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

    Flu vaccination required for onboarding. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

    Additional Details:

    Floats routinely between Med/Surg, Tele, and PCU units: Ortho/Neuro/Surgical, Medical, Progressive Care, Oncology, and Heart and Vascular

    Permanent staff must wait 1 full year to return as a traveler

    Will you accept a first-time traveler? Only if previous float pool experience, otherwise travel experience required.

    Patient Types: Orthopedics; Neuro (Stroke, Transient Ischemic Attack, etc.); Surgical; Medical (Urinary Tract Infection, Pneumonia, Failure to Thrive, etc.); Progressive Care (Sepsis, Diabetic Ketoacidosis, End-stage Renal, Alcohol Withdrawal, etc.); Oncology; Heart and Vascular (Chest Pain, Heart Failure, Pre/Post Cardiac Cath, etc.)

    Skills required: PCU level RN willing to float to Med/Tele; Cardiac rhythm interpretation, IV starts, Blood product administration, CIWA, drain/tube management, indwelling and straight catheter insertion/management, insulin drips - both DKA and Non-DKA, cardiac drips (titrating and non-titrating), continuous bladder irrigation, chest tube maintenance; Experience with Cardiac procedural recovery (CABG/TAVR/post Cardiac Cath), MI pharmacology, Cardiac gtts (Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Levo, Dopamine), Heparin

    Scheduling: Weekend rotation: Every other; Holiday Expectations: Every other;
