Licensing Coordinator

Responsibilities:The Licensing Coordinator will work directly with BJs Licensing and Legal Teams on a variety of compliance-related items. Primary role is to manage all licenses for our existing restaurants and will also include the following:
- Maintain and renew liquor, business and other operating licenses required for the operation of existing restaurants
- Maintain web-based license tracking program and internal shared drive, including, but not limited to, inputting license data for license renewals and auditing data
- Monitor upcoming license expiration dates to ensure all licenses are renewed prior to expiration and lead discussion about upcoming renewals at department meetings
- Interface with local, state, and federal agencies as questions arise about license and permit renewals
- Communicate frequently with our restaurants and various departments at our Restaurant Support Center about licensing matters
- Generate license compliance reports for specific restaurants as requested by internal auditors
- Maintain qualifications of General Managers, as required by specific state regulatory agencies
- Assist Licensing Team with acquisition of various licenses for new restaurant openings
- Complete ad hoc projects, mailings, check requests, and/or applications for various members of the Licensing and Legal Teams
- Some experience in a corporate office environment or law firm/office is preferred, but not required
- Must possess excellent organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills
- Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must have ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize and work well in a fast-paced team environment to meet critical deadlines
- Bachelors Degree preferred, but not required
- Must possess a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat
