An established critical access hospital located in northern New Hampshire is currently searching for an experienced Geriatric Psychiatry Nurse Practitioner to join their award-winninghealthcareteam.

This location is equipped to offer state-of-the-art inpatient care including emergency and trauma, critical care, orthopedics and surgical services, cardiovascular care, rehabilitative services, diagnostic imaging, laboratory and pathology services, and much more.

The Geriatric Psychiatry Nurse Practitioner will join a newly established inpatient program the provides inpatient care for patients 65 years of age and older who aremanaging mental health concerns. The department strives to bridge the gap between geriatric care and comprehensive psychiatric and behavioral health services. The Nurse Practitioner will work within a multidisciplinary team of experienced Psychiatrists, Gerontologists, Registered Nurses, Nursing Assistants, Social Workers, and Recreational Therapists. The Nurse Practitioner will work independently, perform patient evaluations, develop patient care plans and interventions, and evaluates patient responses. Rotating call is required.

Requirements Include:

• Current license as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in New Hampshire
• Board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC)
• Minimum 3-5 years prior experience in a geriatric psychiatry inpatient setting preferred
