    This is a hybrid position with an on-site requirement 2x per week in Wilmington, MA.

    The IT Manager provides EDI technical leadership and responsibility for the development, performance validation, and testing methodologies to ensure technical solutions meet quality requirements. Under general direction, provide a consistent level of service and problem resolution through the management of tickets and system issues, the performance of root cause, and the installation of learnings to prevent recurrence of the prior problems. Strong partnership with business and technical teams to deliver application solutions with respect to value, quality, and end-user experience. Manage resource allocation, capacity utilization, and delivery of development teams. Provide leadership and mentoring to staff for major projects. Lead a team in the migration from Gentran to the new EDI platform.

    This position requires strong IT, business system analysis, and systems development/design experience. The successful candidate should be able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

    Responsibilities:
    • Lead EDI Gentran system migration to new EDI platform.
    • Migrate legacy processes to standardized EDI processes.
    • Designs, develops, and supports ANSI X12 EDI transactions.
    • Lead/Manage EDI Analysts/Developers to support Gentran and new EDI platform.
    • Builds and leads a team to successfully complete projects on time and within budget.
    • Consult with stakeholders to determine project scope.
    • Develop technical specifications, development approaches and time requirements for average to large size projects. Articulates problems and solutions to both internal and external customers.
    • Develop cost/time estimates and value-add impact for assigned projects.
    • Analyze operational metrics, identify trends and problem area of responsibility.
    • Compare the present state of the business with a conceptual and desired future state and provide gap analysis; recommend process improvements.
    • Primary advocate for the appropriate use of development vs. customization and related best practices.
    • Creates and maintains documentation for all EDI projects and participates in team meetings, conferences, and problem-solving discussions.
    • Provide leadership with pros/cons for moving forward with potential development projects.
    • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with other department staff, management, and vendors. Interact with executives and senior stakeholders across the enterprise.
    • Contributes to IT project governance reviews.
    • Work independently with minimal supervision.
    • Responsible for building a high-performance team.
    • Develop excellent customer service to meet the needs and expectations of both internal and external customers.
    • Work with BRMs (business relationship managers) and participate in all procurement steps; including RFP and SOW to assessment of submitted proposals and selection of a vendor/product/service, etc.
    • Conduct end-to-end testing on applications and technology, to ensure that business, technical, and functional requirements are being met, including the development of test cases, test scripts, and UAT protocols.
    • Perform other duties that support the overall objective of the position.

    Qualifications

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree required in Computer Science.
    • 5+ years of software engineering experience and a track record of delivery results.
    • 3+ years of experience as EDI Manager/Tech Led in Information Systems with a focus on EDI Development.
    • 2+ years of leadership experience managing EDI developers and other department staff within an IT development and/or System Analysis environment.
    • Experience with an integration solution, ideally, but not limited to, Gentran, Seeburger, Boomi or new SaaS EDI Platforms.
    • Significant experience with SFTP, SOAP, WSDL and REST Web API.
    • Experience with ASC X12 4010 standards (850, 856, 810, 812).
    • Experience with XML, XSLT, XPath, and JSON.
    • Experience with EDI mappings.
    • Maintains functionality of hardware, software, and networking to support EDI functions.
    • Good understanding of several functional areas such as Sales, Marketing and Finance.
    • Experience with designing and architecting complex enterprise process tools.
    • Problem solving, analytical, logic, interpersonal, and communication skills.
    • Familiarity with software development life cycles such as Agile or SCRUM.
    • Must be able to lead a team of 4 to 10 internal and contract associates.
    • Must have experience working on large scale projects, enterprise applications as well as handling day-to-day operational requests from the business.
    • Ability to collaborate horizontally and vertically within an organization.
    • Ability to motivate team members and lead by example.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Effective management and leadership.
