    Direct Support Professional - Substitute

    The New Jersey Institute for Disabilities (NJID)is one of the largest not-for-profit agencies of its kindin the nation providing services to infants, children and adults with developmental and related disabilities.     We are currently hiring Direct Support Professionals to assist residents with developmental disabilities with activities of daily living in a residential setting.

    Job Responsibilities of a Direct Support Professional:

    • Assist and/or supervises in activities of daily living skills
    • Administer or assist with prescribed medication
    • Light housekeeping
    • Assist with transportation
    • Assist in the implementation of individual goals and objectives
    • Data entry using Therap (EHR)
    • Assist residents in the pursuit of recreational, social and community activities based on their preferences and individual plans


    Job Requirements:
    • HS diploma or equivalent
    • A valid driver's license in good standing and must be insurable through NJID's automobile insurance
    • Strong communication skills
    NO certification required

    Position Details:

    Location: Aberdeen County: Monmouth


    Hours Per Work Week: 28 Weekly Work Schedule: Thurs. & Fri. 4pm-12am; Sat. & Sun. 4pm-10pm


    Other shifts are available at this location.

    NJID has full time, part time, and per diem opportunities in Middlesex, Monmouth, Ocean, and Somerset Counties.
