A well-established hospital in southwest Kansas is searching for a Medical Surgical RN to join their team.

This hospital is part of a large Health System and has provided inpatient care and outpatient care to the community for over 50 years. This full-service health system offers Cancer Services, Emergency Medicine, Physical Therapy, Wound Care, Orthopedics, and much more.

The Medical Surgical RN will report to the Manager of the Med Surg and Step Down Units. There will be multiple Charge Nurses and Nurse Supervisors who are able to provide assistance with any issues that arise. The Medical Surgical RN will have the opportunity to provide direct and indirect patient care in the Acute Care setting.

The Medical Surgical RN will be a part of a rewarding department. This nurse will have the opportunity to formulate a care plan based on identified needs and facilitates interventions and referrals as appropriate. They will also be able to effectively communicates identified needs and care plans with the multidisciplinary care team including providers, pharmacists, dieticians, social workers, case managers, and more. The Medical Surgical RN will also evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and adjusts the care plan accordingly.
