Behavioral Health Shift Supervisor - Located in Rockford, IL

- Non-licensed: $3,000
- Licensed: $4,000
Position Purpose: Directly supervise behavioral health clients. Act as charge staff on duty during specified shifts. Provide continuity of program services in an ethical, legal and moral manner within a safe and therapeutic environment, consistent with applicable regulatory and accreditation standards. Participate as a team member in the delivery of mental health and addictions treatment services to clients and to facilitate the issues of recovery into their daily living situations.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or other related field
- Minimum 2 years of mental health and/or addiction treatment experience (preferred)
- Qualify as an MHP or QMHP as defined by the Department of Mental Health Rule 132
- Valid driver's license
Qualifications:
- Skilled in behavioral management technique
- Ability to coordinate and present lectures for clients, parents and community resources
- CPR training or complete within three months
Essential Responsibilities:
1. Work a 10 hour shift 4 days a week and be available to work additional hours when necessary. Additional hours may be required. Assistance with on-call duties as times.
2. Ensure compliance with treatment schedules.
3. Ensure the completion Triage/crisisassessments
4. Float between Triage and Crisis Residential units and provide guidance and support to scheduled staff.
5. Assist scheduled staff with any behavioral occurrences.
6. Act as point person for communication with on-call counselor.
7. Provide staff mentoring and feedback.
8. Supervise the behavior of the clients and provide appropriate behavioral interventions and consequences.
9. Implement therapeutic activities.
10. Facilitate didactic and peer group counseling as needed
11. Monitor assigned clients by consulting with the clinical staff counselors in developing and implementing the individual treatment plan and scheduling individual sessions to assist the clients in completing treatment plan objectives.
12. Ensure that client service records are maintained consistent with rules and regulations.
13. Observe, monitor and record group dynamics.
14. Consult with the members of the treatment team and plan daily therapeutic direction for designated shift.
15. Read all logs and obtain pertinent information from staff of previous shifts.
16. Oversee the neatness of the unit and the proper use of the equipment and supplies and inform the proper person when supplies or repairs are indicated.
17. Serve as a member of the treatmentteam and participate in all team meetings and activities.
18. Understand and comply with all of the principles established by the Rosecrance Corporate Compliance Program and Code of conduct.
19. Deliver exceptional customer service consistently to every customer.
20. Serve as a role model for other staff, clients and customers and demonstrate positive guest relations in representing Rosecrance.
21. Assume other related responsibilities as assigned by management.Job Type: Full-time
