Assess patient status throughout the perioperative episode of care.

* Develop an individualized perioperative patient plan of care by implementing:

* Protecting the patient from injury caused by extraneous objects and chemical, electrical, laser, mechanical, and thermal sources.

* Demonstrating safe operation of equipment and machinery and following procedures for reporting and correcting an unsafe situation.

* Performing accounting procedures to protect the patient from unintended retained surgical items.

* Practicing and monitoring aseptic technique.

* Evaluate the patient's progress toward attaining outcomes.

* Transfer care as applicable.

* Etc.

Must Haves:

* At least 1 year of experience in an outpatient center or hospital

* Self-directed and follow direction well

* Experience within ortho

* Graduate of a recognized and accredited Nursing school

* BLS or BCLS, ACLS, and PALS (can also complete these within 90 days of employment
