Job Summary and Qualifications

The OR Support Tech is responsible for providing support to the OR suites including two Endo rooms, SPD, PACU and SDS. The activities include but are not limited to: room set up, stocking supplies, assisting with patient positioning, cleaning scopes and assembling supplies or equipment for each procedure, the transporting of patients, lab specimens, equipment and any other activity to increase productivity in the OR. The responsibilities also include the trouble shooting of equipment and any other activity to increase productivity in the department. Considers age-related factors in care of patients ranging from infants to geriatrics and applies the knowledge appropriately in accordance with standards and departmental policies and procedures.

What qualifications you will need:

• Certification: BLS through American Red Cross(AHA and military certifications accepted) is required upon hire

  Experience: One year experience in an OR Support role preferred. Ability to maintain a mature, professional manner and demonstrate sound judgement when dealing with physicians, clinical staff, patients and families, plus all other hospital personnel. Computer experience preferred
