The Maintenance/Lead troubleshoots, repairs, maintains equipment as assigned, and assumes day-to-day coordination of specific agreements or projects as assigned to ensure contractual commitments are met in a timely, cost effective manner.

The main responsibilities of this position are as follows;

  • Provide assistance to assemble, test and maintain company equipment, to include vacuums, small gas motors, floor scrubbers, carpet cleaners, and various other small equipment.
  • Analyze root causes of equipment failures and propose corrective actions.
  • If unable to repair equipment, notify the operations manager and get approval to outsource the repair.
  • Perform regular inspections to identify and correct equipment malfunctions, repairs and replacements.
  • Read and understand technical manuals for equipment operations and maintenances.
  • Adhere to company policies and safety regulations.
  • Develop preventive maintenance procedures to avoid equipment failures.
  • Maintain the facility a clean, safe and organized work area.
  • Clean, lubricate and replace filters on equipment.
  • Provide assistance and job trainings to workers when needed.
  • Maintain documentation of equipment maintenance and repair procedures for future reference procedures.
  • Maintain inventory control of equipment tools and parts.
  • Propose improvements to enhance equipment performance and reliability.
  • Develop cost reduction initiatives by effective utilization of materials and resources.
  • Be able to fill in on custodial runs or projects as assigned/needed
