You will work directly with our nuclear medicine physicians and Dr. Osman, who is known worldwide for his research work. You will be cross trained in PET and Nuclear medicine which feature a Phillips Vereos Digital PET/CT and 3 Ge Cameras, 1 SPECT, 1 SPECT/CT and 1 CZT SPECT/CT that are 2 years old.     Job Summary:

    The PET technologist is responsible for performing all types of PET imaging, providing appropriate patient care for the exams, and administering radiopharmaceuticals specific for PET imaging.

    Job Responsibilities and Requirements:

    A. Performs PET procedures in accordance with the procedure manual.

    B. Acquires images in accordance with the procedure manual.

    C. Positions patients appropriately for the exam being performed.

    D. Addresses any patient care issues that may affect the quality of the exam, and consults with the lead technologist and physicians as needed about such issues.

    E. Processes the images at the conclusion of the acquisition to check for motion and other image quality issues.

    F. Checks all images with the physician prior to the patient leaving the premises.

    G. Archives images onto optical disk for future reference.

    Draws and administers the correct radiopharmaceuticals to the patient I.V., oral, or inhaled.

    Job Specifications

    MINIMUM EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Program

    MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Two years preferred

    REQUIRED CERTIFICATION: Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board and/or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists-Nuclear; BLS
