    University Hospitals is looking for talented and experienced registered nurses to join our compassionate care team.

    The Heart Failure ICU is offering a sign on bonus for experienced nurses in the amount of $8,000.

    Advanced Heart Failure

    o 10 Beds

    o Patient population includes:

    chronic and acute heart failure

    cardiogenic shock

    pre- and post- orthopic heart transplant care

    VAD therapies

    Advanced therapies include IABP, CRRT, VAD, and Impella.

    Qualifications

    Position Requirements:

    Thorough knowledge of nursing process and practice.

    Uses a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed medical therapies (ie. stethoscopes, thermometers, sphygmomanometers and electronic monitoring devices.

    Education Requirements:

    Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from accredited program preferred.

    Minimum of Diploma/Associates Degree in nursing from accredited program.

    License Requirements:

    Registered nurse with current license to practice in the state of Ohio.

    Current BLS Provider Certification, issued by the American Heart Association, must be obtained during Nursing Orientation.
