    Electronic Analyzer & Tester - 1st shift

    Job Description Summary

    Grand Rapids facility builds electronic communication components, communication centers, beacon transmitters. These communication parts tell the command center what to do.

    As an Electrical Analyzer & Tester you will use your thorough understanding of analog, digital and microprocessor circuits to fault isolate (component/board level) electronic avionics products. Once the fault has been isolated you will prescribe rework instructions for repairs to be completed.

    Roles and Responsibilities:

    Role Summary:

    • Troubleshoot electronics systems, circuit card assemblies, and components

    • Prescribe rework instructions for products needing repair

    • Fault isolate electronics to the component level

    • Use general purpose test instruments (digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, function generators, phase angle voltmeters and automated test equipment)

    • Perform functional testing and environmental stress screening of class 3 electronics systems

    Essential Responsibilities

    In addition, you will:

    • Attend and participate in team meetings

    • Follow technical procedures and specifications

    • Read and understand technical documentation such as schematic diagrams and parts lists

    • Follow test specifications and procedures

    • Ensure product compliance and quality

    • Maintain product test records in quality data tracking system

    Qualifications/Requirements

    • Work under minimum supervision by being motivated and a self-starter

    • Possess a thorough understanding of analog and digital circuits

    • Experience using hand tools for electronics disassembly and troubleshooting.

    • Knowledge of IPC 610 & J-STD soldering specifications

    • Basic understanding of embedded software

    • Familiar with Electric Static Discharge precautions

    Eligibility Requirements:

    • Associate degree in an electronics technology discipline from an accredited university or college

    • High School Diploma / GED with two years of technical experience in testing and troubleshooting of highly technical electronic products which could include military electronics experience (i.e. A school, I level depo technician)

    • Successfully complete and pass pre-employment electronic principle's test, covering component identification and digital and analog circuit analysis
