    This role will help to oversee a team of designers, engineers, drafters, and field technicians to accomplish designs for utility clients wishing to attach to existing electric utility power poles. This role requires previous experience with 3rd party Make Ready work and Power Distribution. The design engineering supervisor may also support business development, proposal development, creation of marketing materials, and driving the implementation of automation.

    As a Distribution Design Supervisor, You can expect to:

    • Execute existing 3rd Party Make Ready design programs for Leidos' utility client
    • Providing technical and metrics oversight, direction, and support for your team, including QAQC responsibilities
    • Review engineering design packages with clients; Review and organize existing program work
    • Conduct Team hiring and development, including training team members in technical skills and execution of client design standards
    • Perform functional tasks, planning, and/or customer follow-up
    • Initiate continuous improvement to workflow processes that drive efficiency and high-quality standards in client design deliverables

    What Sets You Apart (Background Requirements):

    • Bachelor's Degree & 4+ years of relevant experience; OR BA or AS degree & 6+ years of relevant experience; Relevant experience is considered working with third party make ready projects for electric utilities; Additional Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
    • Previous experience in Pole Modeling; Familiarity with Pole Loading software (O-Calc, Pole Foreman)
    • Proven Ability to perform QAQC tasks for distribution design projects/work packages
    • Previous experience with DDS (Distribution Design Studio)
    • Demonstrated Experience with development of civil & electrical packages associated with complex cable/conduit in dense urban environments
    • Experience and demonstrated proficiency with the National Electric Safety Code (NESC)
    • Previously held leadership position or other leadership demonstrated leadership experience

    Pay Range:

    Pay Range $55,250.00 - $99,875.00
