We are looking for a detailed and efficient Payroll Clerkto join our amazing team in Kansas City, MO.The Payroll Clerkis a key role that requires an attention to detail and strong analytical skills. A Day in the Life: Process gross payroll and net payroll batches Process all time data entry and review for accuracy and completeness Process payroll data entry, employee event payments, retroactivity on payroll Run payroll departmental reports Process and distribute off cycle checks as per company policy Process employee advances, garnishments and deductions Assist in year-end processing with any adjustments and annual reporting Input employee master data including but not limited to: New Hire/Rehire, Employee Benefit Eligibility, Employee Master Data Changes, Employee Banking Information, Employee Leaves (maternity, medical, etc.,), Terminations, Lay Offs, and Retirements Responsible for the integrity of Master Data based on policies, procedures, and business requirements Manage the integrity and timeliness of Master Data based on employee compensation policies, union agreements, payroll processing schedules, and Avanti payroll procedures Develop regular management reports and support ad hoc requests of senior managementWhat you Bring: A degree and/or diploma with a focus on Finance or Business preferred Min. 3-5 years experience in a Payroll department is required Comprehensive knowledge of Federal and State legislation regarding payroll reporting requirements and employment standards Previous experience in the Construction Industry or Unionized environment is a plus High level of accuracy and attention to detail Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot system errors Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office and advanced proficiency with Microsoft ExcelWhat we Offer: Salary is DOE, competitive Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance 401(k) w/ company match Short-Term and Long-Term Disability Insurance Life and AD&D Insurance Paid time off and paid holidays Vehicle allowance or company truck Flynn University: Education & Leadership Development
