Cross Dock Manager
Overview:We are experts in the beer, wine, and spirits industry looking for individuals who share our passion for customer service and thrive in a fast-paced working environment.
The Cross Dock Manager is responsible for the overall management of the Charleston area Cross Dock delivery operations. This individual must have the ability to effectively manage the daily operations of the Cross Dock facility which include leading the delivery team, coordinating all leased fleet vehicle requirements, administering DOT regulations, and partnering with our sales teams across our Charleston market to ensure our product is successfully delivered to our valuable retail and on-premise customers in the Charleston market. Solid people leadership/development skills as well as operations/delivery management experience is required.

Compensation: $68,000 - $85,000 Annually + Bonus
Schedule:Tuesday - Friday

Responsibilities:
- Manage all operations conducted at the assigned cross dock, such as the scheduling of customer deliveries, receiving freight, inventory control, maintenance of vehicles.
- General manager administration including, but not limited to, workers compensation, new hire interviewing, conducting training for efficiencies and overall safety culture, etc.
- Enter credits for delivery teams according to payroll deadlines, processing damaged product, and ensuring facility maintenance and cleanliness.
- Directly manages all personnel assigned at the cross dock, possibly including the indirect supervision of third- party employees.
- Supports the sales function in the assigned market with meeting sales goals and properly handling delivery, merchandise and customer service issues.
- Other duties, as assigned by the jobholders supervisor, may also be required.
- Bachelors degree in related field and/or equivalent training and work experience
- Minimum of 5 year of experience in related area
- Proficient PC skills using MS Office and other various computer programs including presentation software
- Must be a results-oriented professional with verbal/written communication skills using diplomacy and discretion as well as customer service skills
- Ability to multi-task, work independently and/or within a team, pay attention to detail and meet deadlines
- Analytic and Reporting skills
- Utilize sound judgement and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced, high-volume, team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of management/supervisory experience
- Able to interpret and apply union contracts
Physical Requirements:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone
- Occasional carrying and lifting of 20 pounds to perform various duties as assigned
- Occasional immediate reaching to perform various duties as assigned
- Minimal overhead reaching to perform various duties as assigned
- Occasional standing and walking for short amounts of time to perform various duties
- Extended sitting for long periods of time at desk or workstation
- Minimal squatting or bending to perform various office duties as assigned
