Experience:

12 months of role experience is required.

24 months of Dialysis Unit experience is required.

18 months of travel experience is required.

Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

Candidates must have a South Dakota license or compact license prior to placement start.

This role will require floating to multiple units

Candidates must live at least 100 miles away from this facility in order to be eligible to apply for this role.

COVID vaccination required for onboarding. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

Additional Details:

Patient Types: Chronic and Acute dialysis patients, no CRRT or plasmapheresis

Completion of a nursing education program that is approved by a board of nursing

Skills required: Initiate and discontinue hemodialysis treatment via central venous catheters, AV fistulas and grafts. Patient assessment skills pertinent to hemodialysis, critical thinking skills for a dynamic patient population, familiar with Fresenius 2008t dialysis machines, machine troubleshooting. Strong teamwork and able to oversee and guide a team of techs and LPNs.

Floating: Expected to work both inpatient and outpatient hemodialysis units (flexible)

Weekend rotation ideal candidate would be available to work every Saturday; will aim for every other Saturday but depends on overall staffing

On-call: inpatient, usually 1 call shift per pay period, up to 2 if absolutely needed (per 2 weeks)

Holiday Expectations: As needed but usually every holiday depending on permanent staffing

Approval of time off: Ok to approve up to 7 days, must extend contract if unable to work a full week. No RTO is approved during Sturgis Bike Rally
